fisher who's at washington elementary school in alexandria where george allen is voting voting this morning. good morning, kristin. what can you tell us? has the candidate arrived? >> apparently we're having -- >> there she is. good morning, kristin. >>reporter: good morning. well, it is a very chilly election morning, but that hasn't stopped virginians from getting out early. look at this line outside the washington mill elementary school in mount vernon. it's at least, almost 200 people deep and the polls just opened, people just started going in. and right now we are all awaiting the arrival of one of the candidates in virginia's closely watched senate race, george allen. he should be arriving any minute now to cast his vote, then the republican and former governor is going to be heading down to richmond to watch the returns come in, and that's where his opponent is going to be for most of the day, democrat tim kaine. now, this race is absolutely critical because it could very well determine which party is going to control the senate. this race has received more money and m

, washington, d.c. has been your favorite place to come of course. give us a little tour of the bus. >> yes, so this is the class trip school bus. we bought the bus and redesigned it and it's been sort of retrofitted to be a mobile showroom on wheels. so it's just sort of our way of bringing our retail experience around to different cities and having customers come on the bus and sort of a fun way of shopping for glasses. >> neil you're going to be in town for a couple more days. how do people come on here? how do they -- how do they come on and buy glasses? what's the process like? >> literally just hop on the bus and we have a bunch of glasses to try on. we have mirrors you know and buying glasses that fun social experience and bring your friends so you can see which looks best on your face. and then we actually have a few computers that people can check out on. the fun part also is that we'll be parked on m street between 31st and wisconsin and we'll have a photo booth in the back also where you can then take your photos. wearing the glasses. upload them to facebook. you can shoot them out t

capitol hill. >>> thank you ko. a united airlines flight from denver landed safely in washington, d.c. last night. there are reports that crew had declared an emergency because a passenger began praying in an aisle. a united spokeswoman says the passenger was not following the flight attendant instructions for landing. the plane was escorted by military jets after the crew declared an emergency. >>> hundreds of thousands of people in new york and new jersey are dealing with more power outages. canceled flights and snowy comb as a new storm on the heels of superstorm sandy tested the region's patience. tens of billions of dollars in damage is inflicted on the region and hundreds of thousands of customers are still waiting for the electricity to come back on again. some are demanding investigations of utilities they say aren't working fast enough including new york's governor andrew cuomo. he joined the calls for an investigation jed ripping the -- yesterday ripping the utilities as unprepared and badly managed. >>> 11 people most of them young women kidnapped, robbed and raped. this
